Snugglebundl helps parents with CP.

Since launching the Snugglebundl wrap on the world we have had many incredible letters from parents telling us how much the Snugglebundl has helped them with their parenting. This has opened doors to areas that we had not even thought about when we developed the idea of a baby wrap with handles. For the main part the Snugglebundl is designed as a wrap that you can move your baby in without waking your baby by simply using the handles. This is fantastically useful for obvious reasons as it can be tricky to move a baby as they sleep. We knew also that it would have benefits for anyone with back, hip or pelvic issues as the Snugglebundl means that you do not have to bend to pick up or lay down your baby. We have had many letters from parents with disabilities explaining to us how much the Snugglebundl has helped and recently received a letter from a Mum with Cerebral Palsey telling us how she could not have managed without the Snugglebundl. This has inspired me to look further into what cerebral palsey is and why the Snugglebundl can be so beneficial to parents with it. Cerebral palsy is an overall term commonly referred to as 'CP' and describes the loss or impairment of motor function, cerebral palsy is actually caused by brain damage. The brain damage is caused by brain injury or abnormal development of the brain that occurs while a child's brain is still developing — before birth, during birth, or immediately after birth. Cerebral palsy affects body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance. It can also impact fine motor skills, gross motor skills and oral motor functioning. We have met with many parents with CP at the baby shows we do around the country. What has become evident to us is that whilst many parents with it can be fine to lift their babies using the Snugglebundl gives them extra confidence and as with all parents it is the ability to lay your baby down without waking them that is always a real winner. We would love to hear more from anyone that has CP and has used the Snugglebundl or if you know anyone that may benefit from the help the Snugglebundl offers please pass our name on."
